Finding Leslie Roberts of Wales

I could really appreciate your assistance. I don't know much about my ancestors as I believe much of it was hushed up. Don't talk don't tell kind of mentality. What I would like to know is more about Leslie Roberts of Wales. He was born in Wales most likely 1900-1920 perhaps. He would have had to travel to Canada before 1938 to father a son named Thomas William Roberts with a Jean McQuade of Ontario. Their paths must have crossed in Lethbridge Alberta in 1938 when Thomas was born.

I found a Leslie Roberts born in 1911 Llandrindad Wells who I think fits the match but I can't be so sure. I looked at passenger records and it showed that this Leslie did end up in Edmonton Canada. This Leslie would have been 27 years old when Thomas was born.

The mother Jean I believe would have had to been born in 1900-1920 as well. Her family resided in  Ontario.

There are 8 Leslie Roberts births in various parts of Wales between 1901-1911 and a lot of others whuch have a second christian name

Thomas William Roberts death certificate indicates his father was born in Wales.

The name that appears on the death certificate says his fathers given name was Leslie Glenn Roberts.

This Leslie is the only one I found that could make sense since he ended up in Canada around the time Thomas would be born.

This Leslie son of Lloyd Wynn Roberts & Rose Emma Hutchings (parents names as per your link above) was according to the new GRO index Leslie Christopher Roberts.

What info do you have about your Leslie Roberts (or Leslie Glenn Roberts) that you know to be fact?

I unfortunately don't have much information on Leslie Glenn Roberts other than he was born in Wales and had to have come to Lethbridge Alberta to have a son in 1938.

I know a fair amount on his son however but I haven't had much luck in finding anything else.  Thomas William Roberts born April 1938 in Lethbridge Alberta.  Thomas William Roberts married a Linda Gerlitz in Calgary  May 12, 1964 and had 3 children. (Ronald, Maureen and Kenneth) Thomas and Linda divorced Nov 4, 1980 in Vancouver.  Thomas disappeared to Calgary. No contact with the kids. He then died in August 11,2005 in Calgary. I'm at a standstill. I'd like to understand more about Thomas and where he came from. I know so very little.

Any help would be appreciated. It seems more logical to start off with Thomas history but there is nothing I found to go by. He was a private man who never talked about his family.
