Wye Marriage 1871 (COMPLETED with thanks)
« on: Monday 24 April 17 15:19 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have access to PR's for Wye for 1871?  If so, I'd be very grateful for full details (especially fathers names) of the marriage on 24 Sept 1871 of James Sharp and Sarah Epps.
Thank you.

Do you need baptisms ? There's a baptism for James Sharp which may fit :

5 Mar 1848 at Challock SS Cosmas & Damian
James Sharp son of John , labourer , and Mary Sharp of Wye.

The only Sarah Epps around 1852 I can find is daughter of George and Caroline Epps .

Thanks that is brilliant!

(No, I didn't need baptisms, but thanks anyway for thinking of it.  I am pretty sure he is son of John and Mary Black who married 1847 Boughton Aluph.  He was either that one, or a son of Richard or a son of George .... but now I know!!)
He died before next census and Sarah remarries to Thomas Fagg.

Thanks again.
