Thomas Buchanan Drumkerran, leitram
« on: Tuesday 25 April 17 13:17 BST (UK) »
I have Thomas and Anna Buchanan on the 1901 Census, 4 church Street, Drumkeeran.
Their children Thomas 29, Bella 22, Anna 17, James 14

I can only find Thomas 39 and his wife Henrietta 26 with their children in 1911.

Can anyone help me with what happened to Thomas, Anna and their children by 1911.

Thank you

Here's link to Buchanan family in 1901 to save others from looking- 4 is the enumerator's number on the census which may or may not be the street number-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Leitrim/Drumkeeran/Church_Street/1472806

Son Thomas in 1911-

If son James was James Robert then this might be him in 1911-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Thank you aghadowey for putting that information up for me, I'm not sure how you do that, I really appreciate your help!

Thank you dathai, this is definitely the right family! Ann going to America fits in as she has family there. Thank you for your help!

Thanks to you dathai, I've found 12 children of Thomas Buchanan and Annie Henry, thank you!

Aghadowey, James is James Robert, so it looks like you found him, thank you!

James Robert Buchanan (known as "Bertie") died in WWI.  I have a copy of his very touching obituary, as well as a personal letter from him to his brother.  I have a more information about the Buchanan family, especially the George Herbert Buchanan family.
