Robert Henry Sobey unknown death. (born pembrokshire 1899 lived in Grimsby 1920)

Hi I'm looking for Robert Henry Sobey born pembroke 1899.
He was in the merchant navy which he gave a false dob so must have been about 14 when he joined.
He had children in Grimsby in the 1920s with his his partner Rose Hammond. They were never married
These children were put into the Grimsby lincolnshire children's home around 1930 as their mother was put into Lincoln mental home, Robert never came to pick up the children and they remained there until adults.
After searching ancestry and find my past I cannot find any trace of him or a possible death His mother was Matilda Marion Sobey (webber, 1868-1937) his father was William Sobey (1864-1906) His mother remarried John Eden and then Albert Fielding. There is plenty of information but nothing for his death or where he might have lived after 1930
Are there other research possibilities ?

There's a Robert H Sobey marriage in Jun 1937 Tynemouth

The possible wife to that 1937 appears to be living in Bristol - might have been born around 1922.

But here is an interesting snippet about a Robert SOBEY, serving as crew on the Honoria, a steam drifter (?) out of Grimsby in 1925.

Yes ive noticed the possible marriage I think he did have another child who died with someone else ill check.this  No I havent got access to 1939 His sister went to Australia.
