Marriage - 5 April 1808 - by Banns

Richard Puddington (x) bachelor and Ann Cousens/Cousins (x) botp.

Ann's name is spelt as Cousens in the body of the entry, but Cousins against her mark.

William Bentley (13 in 1871) would be Eliza's son with 1st husband I think.

Richard and family are Buddington on 1861 census, daughter Caroline (now Bentley) is with them but listed as lodger!. They have a niece Mary, her surname is Burrington. Maybe it was just mistranscriptions from householders to enumerator's schedules. If Richard signed his name with x on marriage, he probably had to get help filling in his form.
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge
Sussex: Goodyer, Christopher, Trevatt
Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)
Jersey: Fowler, Huelin, Scott
