George Smart married to Athalia Arndell

Looking for the parents of George Smart born around 1790 Gloucester.He married Athalia Arndell in 1817.No trace of either on the 1841 but Athalia is a widow on the 1851 and 1861 census.I am trying to find his birth and death and parents names.Can anyone help please? Thanks Diane

The marriage is 20th November 1817 in Cheltenham.

Then 1823 a child, George, baptised at St Mary de lode, Gloucester
George senior is a servant

I have just looked at 1851. I am not convinced that it says widow for Athalia. I think it says married so may be George is still alive and working?

Definitely says married and living with son George but husband George is not there.

There is a death for George Smart 1858 Cheltenham. 6a  264.

On 1841 in the household of Joseph Longmore there is a servant George Smart age 45.

On GRO the 1858 death in Cheltenham has age 35

There is one in Gloucester in 1852, age 61

Thanks so much for this info.Will try to check all these replies and see if they fit. On his sons  Edwin/Edward marriage in 1848 it says George is a coachman,I also think his other son George married a Mary Jordan  in 1851 Cheltenham .
