@ann_P

You are an absolute star ! I cannot thank you enough for your efforts. This fills in a lot of blanks that I had hit a dead end with so I am extremely pleased and greateful :)

Hopefully this post will now allow me to make a PM.

Again, can't thank you enough !

She married Peter William Barnecutt (age 20)  at Maryhill Old Parish Church ( Church Of Scotland)
He was newly engaged in active service as a driver in the Royal Army Service Corps.
Address: 1 Coronation Cottages, Maoe ?, Cornwall
Parents : Edgar Barnecutt ( Stone Cutter) and Emma Richards

Free bmd gives this marriage:
Marriages September quarter 1926
Albert Barnecutt    Liskeard    5c   111
Emma Richards  Liskeard    5c   111

and lots of Barnecutt/Richards children in Liskeard and then Falmouth.

This looks like Peter W Barnecutt's birth:
Births March quarter 1925
Peter W Richards mmn Richards  Liskeard    5c   68

"Robert was the son of: Thomas Currie  & Jessie McRae"

I wonder if Jessie was a middle name?

Not showing on SP (Statutory), closest is this...

CURRIE THOMAS
MCRAE ISABELLA
1888
098/ 94
94
Inverness

Anne,

What was William Currie's occ. please?

I'm looking at 1901 but it isn't adding up so not sure I have the correct one?

There's William (Grocer's Assistant) & Jeanie but a note next to her with surname Brown added?

Rosinish,

Do you mean William Currie or Thomas Currie or William Paterson?

'Both of Jessie's parents are listed as aged 31 on their 1923 marriage cert
Robert was the son of: Thomas Currie  & Jessie McRae.
Emily Warren Paterson was the daughter of: William Paterson and Matilda Jane Warren.'

This is Emily's birth from Scotlandspeople:

Emily Warren Patterson  1901   Service Returns

Added:
Wrong birth as
'Both of Jessie's parents are listed as aged 31 on their 1923 marriage cert'
so Emily should have been born in 1892?

Looking at this 1923 marriage cert again.
Apologies  Chempat
My eyesight isn't the best and the original print isn't the best quality

Robert is definitely entered as age 31yrs but, as I have now scanned the image (and emailed it to swell)  I can see it in a larger view.... Emily was 21 yrs !
1901 birth looks correct for Emily

Robert ( a Police Constable) lived at 79 Byres Road and both parents are recorded as deceased:
Thomas Currie ( Wine & Spirit Merchant) and Jessie Currie MS McCrae
