What's the best family tree software
« on: Saturday 13 May 17 23:17 BST (UK) »
Hello, to say I am new at this would be an understatement. I want to create a family tree a day print out to share with my family. What is the best software for this. I don't need online access to records as its all word of mouth. I'd just like a Programe that will let me to visually create and print. Much thanks

Welcome to rootschat from me too.  :)

I'm not sure what you mean by this:

.... I want to create a family tree a day ....

(A family tree each day? How is this even possible?)   ;D

Another vote for Tribal Pages from me. It's simple to use and as Cas says, others can view, and amend it online if you give them your password. You can also view it in "traditional tree" form which is easy to understand when laid out this way.

Good luck.

My vote would be for RootsMagic - they have a free eition called RootsMagic Essentials.

Asking for "the best" is a very dificuly question to answer?! :-\
"Best" in terms of what?

It's a little like asking "What's the best biscuit/cookie?" - everyone will have a different opinion ;D
