« on: Monday 15 May 17 04:01 BST (UK) »
Hi there
Looking for the m. of John and Sarah please. Father Francis Goddard was buried in the family vault, apparently, at Cliffe Pypard in 1724. His son Edward was b. 1722 and Sarah around the same time so her poss m. was abt 1740 or so.

Can't seem to find their m. or the m. of father Francis to Mary EYRES

Any help greatly appreciated
Cheers
Meegan

The banns of the marriage of an Edmund Goddard and Mary Eyres were published/announced 26 Nov 1758, parish of Amesbury.

What's the source of your Francis marrying a Mary Eyres?

Hi
The reference, which I can't find online, looks like it was from a book with the heading on oage 325 "Goddard, of Cliffe Pypard".
"The eldest son, Francis Goddard esq succeeded his father in 1648.... He m. Mary, dau. of T Eyres, esq who survived him and m. John Harris esq. Mr F Goddard was buried at Cliffe Pypard in the family vault in 1724 and left issue with one son Edward, his heir b. 1722 and Sarah, m. John MACKRELL esq"

I don't know of an Edmund though it is a coincidence
Another quandary!
Thanks again, will chase that too
Cheers
