Ellen Caley, born approx. 1838/1839

Hello,

I'm looking for some help regarding Ellen Caley, born approximately 1838/1839 at Ramsey, Isle of Man. Her father was named John Caley, a sailor, according to her marriage certificate. She was 28 when she married John Matthewman in Yorkshire in 1866. She died in July 1873 in Yorkshire at the age of 35.

Does anyone have any further information regarding where they fit in to the Caley family? I live in Adelaide, South Australia, so I only have access to online resources.

The only matches to her birthyear on the 1841 IOM census are as follows:

Elleanor Caley aged 3 living in Jurby but no other Caley in household
Eleana aged 2 - Onchan - mother Ann - no father in household

Eliner b 1834 - mother Isabella.  In 1851 she is Elliner aged 12 (1839) - b Maughold

Baptism may be one with mother's name entered as Elinor rather than Isabella. The parents on the 1841 and 1851 census below according to various baptisms are John Caley and Isabella Corkill:-

I am looking for information on William Caley (Kaley in the US). He was born about 1811, Isle of Man and emigrated to America some time before 1832. He named his oldest daughter Eleanor and called her Ellen, so I'm hoping there is a connection, possibly William was your Ellen's uncle?

The only William Caley I can find for Isle of Man was christened on 19 Feb 1812 in Lezayre. Parents were John Caley and Christiana Cashen. Do you know more about this family? Thank you.
