Archimedes Litherland.

I`m not sure where this post should go, so will start with his home county. I can`t find him after 1879 so any details are from a Family Tree and I can`t prove them to be correct.
Can anyone help ?
Archimedes Socrates Cicero Litherland 1844–1905 (Died in Melbourne  Australia)

1861 with his  mother as a printer in Liverpool
He married Kate Akitt  1 Jan 1865 at Everton

In 1871  Carlisle.
Archimedes Litherland 26 lithographic printer b Liverpool
Kate Litherland 38 b Liverpool

1879 with his full name in Newcastle Courier as an auctioneer in Carlisle .
1881  Archimedes is not found.
1881  Westmoreland.  On her own
Kate Litherland 47 auctioneers wife  b Liverpool

No death found for Kate or Archimedes in Britain. 

The following is from an on line tree,  it suggests he added the name Cunard. If he had  Socrates as well I would say it was him but ?

Marriage 1884 Victoria to Catherine Helen Gordon Russell
   
1889-1890 Queensland, Australia
Described as theatrical manager in joint application for patent for improved apparatus for creating illusions. Located at Waverley Hotel Melbourne.
Another such application granted in Victoria for apparatus for improvement in illuminated advertisements.
Took  the name of Archimedes Litherland Cunard.
Departure Feb 1903 New South Wales, Australia
1903 Garden Vale, Balaclava, Victoria, Australia
As A Cunard, with wife Ellen. Manager and vocalist
Died 1905


I can see a link with him being a lithographic printer  and illuminated advertisments, but all other Australian records which I cannot access have him as Archimedes Litherland.

is this his daughter ?

Archimedes Litherland age  60 ref 2368 son of Richard and Mary Litherland
That does look like a fit.

I see the photo has the name Mayall Photo . Brighton and London. Similer to the one of
Lord Alfred Tennyson, 1864 .
There is a link with Melbourne.  but this seems to have been  before Archimedes moved there.
I wonder if Helen Gordon Russell  was English ?

I found an article about him saying he had left London in 1879, but his wife Kate was still in Carlisle in 1881 , as an auctioneers wife !
