daisynook,

Thank you for taking time out to reply to my query but your link refers to St Luke's, All Saint's, Chorlton-on-Medlock, not St Luke's, Cheetham.
Sorry I butted into your research and side-tracked you, and thank you for trying to help.

Regards

Thank you Jolyon for that info, I didn't know there were 2 St Luke's in the area, no wonder I've had no luck!!  I will renew my search.
I have just been onto FindAGrave site to change the St Luke's to the right one and find there is a photo of the other St Luke's on the Cheetham one!

Thanks very much gales and thank you sarah for posting it on!  I appreciate all the help I'm receiving, every little item contributes to the bigger picture.
Thanks for the birth date for Jane Finigan in Dublin of 1855 but throws another question I had her marriage to William Mcmullen as December 1862 in Manchester Register Office and her baptism date as 17 Feb 1839.  I think it was Mary Jane Richardson McM who was born in 1855.
I'm searching the Parish records at the moment.  The first one I looked for St Edmunds wasn't there.  It must come under Manchester rather than Lancashire.

I would appreciate any help too with William James McMullen Junior b.1869 son of William and Jane Finigan.  He was apprentice trouser maker on 1881 Census but because of the common name I can't pin any information down on him, marriage, death etc.
