Help to locate what became of Frank Thomas Ford
« on: Sunday 28 May 17 06:55 BST (UK) »
Frank Thomas Ford, son of William Ford and Elizabeth Alberta Carrick was born in 1888 Ticehurst, Sussex, England.

In 1915 - 1919 he was an Army Chaplain in England.

Frank took the US Oath of Allegiance 20 June 1924.

I am hoping to find out what became of Frank.

Frank Thomas FORD, who was baptised in Ticehurst on 3rd of June 1888, son of William and Elizabeth Alberta FORD - was not born in 1888. It looks as if he was a toddler, when he was baptised:

https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/indexes_search.asp
His birth was registered in Dec Qtr 1886, Ticehurst Registration District, mms: CARRICK.

He was, I think, a Clerk in Holy orders?

Frank Thomas FORD who took the oath of allegiance in the USA ...
...is a different man. He was born on 10th February 1887 in Seaford, Sussex and his mother's maiden name was  TILLER.

In 1917, he was a Tinsmith living in Richmond, Virginia, who stated he had  immigrated to the US in 1904, married to a New York born woman named Alice Louise and had 2 children. Between his Declaration of Intent in 1917 (to become naturalised) and the final step when he was accepted and sworn in 20 June 1924, his wife died.

Cheers

Link to his entry in 1930 Crockfords:  https://goo.gl/uktYlq

I can see from Google Books that he is listed in 1957 Crockfords but I can't get to a complete snippet.

Cheating on Google Books snippets (search for full quotes plus *********, e.g. "I. of Foster w Bondville**********" to shift the snippet view along) from Crockfords 1957 gives:

R. of Rawdon 1939-32 (1930-1932, I suppose, OCR miss?)
I. of Foster w Bondville 1932-1933
C. of Kippax 1933-35;
P.C. of Selside 1935-39;
R. of Nurstead w lfìeld 1945-51;
Perm. to Oflìc. Dios. Roch. and Chich. from 1951.
17, Nelson Crescent, West Clif, Ramsgate, Kent.

A possible death for him would be the 1959 death in Tonbridge district - aged 72.
