Looking for any information on my ggg grandfather. he died in 1837 and had a daughter Margaret (born 1811) and a son George. I believe he married Lizzie Thomson in 1810.

Only found one Presbyterian minister of that period named George Hay but death date doesn't fit.

trevorteppler, There is a marriage reported in the Cavan Herald in 1824, I think 30th September, minister officiating - Rev.George Hay.  Unfortunately, it does not say in which church.  Brown1777.

Lots of information can be found online by googling 'rev george hay & cavan' etc. but need more details from OP although I notice they have an earlier thread mentioning Hay connection-

According to A History of Congregations in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland 1610-1982, Rev. George Hay was licenced Templepatrick and ordained 18 June 1805 First Derry Presbyterian Church and died 10 June 1837.
In testimony of 1825 on the State of Ireland he said that he was born in Antrim, educated in Tyrone, etc.

Thank you for all the info, the George Hay who married Margaret Thompson is the son of Rev George Hay. Rev Peter Dale my gg grandfather (and son in law of Rev George Hay) was the one minister who conducted the marriage ceremony.
