They were a close family and grandad Edward and his brother Arthur shared a house with their families  my dad lodged there in 1949

So it could just have been a family meal i.d have to look into who lived where at that era .
And what year the older cousins Peter Hazel got married .

I wonder who took the photo. ... photography runs in the family .my sister still has the box brownie with which grandad took a selfie with g f Maisie at armed length lying on grass ! 1924

I should have his memorial card somewhere ..it had a lovely ppic of him and nice poem ..

I dont think ewart was on it and his daughter was ten years younger than Hazel

so do you think a brother or sister or in law was the photographer .

young man in front of Arthur with wide shirt is probably "teddy" but i think there may have been more than 1 cousin named Ted  .     Half brother David Abiah Jones was older + dont know if he went to Wales too

hi B. just saw Bill born 1935.  not 100% but close. 
in the pic my dad pete is in a white shirt. he was on the HMS THESEUS 1947. tour. found some websites with pics and info.

is my dad possibly in his white naval shirt he wears in the tour pictures? if i could see his face better, in the group jones, i might say  its before or after the naval business. pete was 21 in 47.  Boy Bill would be ten eleven? before tour.13/14 after. military records would locate pete at that time, possibly?   

masie? has her head turned in your pic. in mine, its not. interesting. mine also cut down to fit. i could not tell kneeling from standing. i was wondering for while if dwarfism was in the genepool. lol.

my lou GMother. is behind and (picture) left of glasses on B.  getting confused by this as well. lou remarried. jack sheppard who is in pics before William passed. the neighbour factor again. lol. i thought he was my gf growing up as i was born after Gfather passed.

Coming back to this photo

I'm learning to crop so can add to profiles on ancestry tree avoiding the living cousins

Regarding what event it could be
 I thought it could be a reunion after returning from evacuation in Wales

I think it's before Peters navy tour and Billy is nearer 10 than 14

I would say it was 1940s and post war as there are quite a few men in the photo.

 My mother was born 1930 she's on the far left could easily be 17
