Spring Street, Darlington
« on: Tuesday 30 May 17 04:33 BST (UK) »
Could anyone tell me please whether Spring Street is still in Darlington?  Using the Family Search site I managed to find the 1901 Census and my gt grandmother.  I know it was the right person despite her name being Brown because she was born in Madeley and my Uncle, Aged 3 was listed plus
my grandmother.  Both of them had two initials.  One day I would like to visit if possible, but I cannot find the Road.  There were a dozen people listed as living there, four of whom I am aware of but the others who would have been my Gt.aunts/uncles remain a mystery.  My grandfather came down to Kent in the early 1900's to find work and later his mother-in-law (my Gt. grandmother) came to live with the family.  I wanted to find out where they lived and maybe see the church where they married in 1897.  Any help with the road would be appreciated.  Thank you

Spring Street no longer exists.
You can see the location on the old map here, and on the right hand side you can see what the area looks like now http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/sidebyside.cfm#zoom=17&lat=54.5429&lon=-1.5579&layers=171&right=BingHyb
