"By 1871 Jonathan appears to be working at Netherton, Talkin for the Dobson Family, also working there is son Christopher. Mary Jane, William & Margaret now live at Ringate, Hayton but their mother is now Elizabeth, confused I certainly am. I cannot find Thomas but he married Mary Palmer in 1872"

I'm sure I have read on RC that Elizabeth & Isabel(la) are/were interchangeable not too long ago on a thread but maybe I'm mistaken?

Thank you for all responses, another problem is that in 1861 census Jonathan gives his place of birth as 'Fatthouse' Cumberland but in 1871 census it is now Isel. I have never heard of Fatthouse.
