thomas liddell and wife ann

Thomas was born 1818, married ann?
in 1881 they were living at grove house tanfield  lanchester  durham.
I know they had one daughter annie born 1848 at tanfield.
I know Thomas is  intered at tanfield churchyard having died in 1818.
I have the family in 1871 but cannot find  them before this any help please who did annie marry?
I understand Thomas was a coal mine owner according to the  1871 census. but on   1881 census he is down as a retired coal miner.

On the 1871 Thomas' occupation is Landsale Colliery Owner.

In Durham Chronicle 27 June 1862 there is a death notice of Joseph Liddell (died 16 June 1862) aged 72 Landsale Colliery owner.

On the same page of the 1851 census (as previously posted) there is a Joseph Liddell (60) with his wife Ann (63).

Would Joseph be Thomas' father?

Hi the birth registrations of Ann and Mary Jane in Gateshead from the GRO Index, suggest the maiden name of the mother was Harper
