Here's a bit about Kilmallock Workhouse itself-
http://www.workhouses.org.uk/Kilmallock/

Here's a William Ryan born there in 16 Apr.1906- illegitimate with mother called Mary Ryan- unfortunately this will make it very difficult to find his mother in other records-

You can search this site https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp
For his marriage and death.
Have you found him in the 1911 Census?

Hi,
You say William died in 1955, was this in Cork?
Also, you say you are helping a cousin, are you related to them via William?

"he died in cheshire in england, ill do my best with more info i find out on him.. thank you very much for your support"

"yes Mary Ann was his mother, but unsure about his father i found and other document a 1911 census that has william edward ryan, mary ann ryan, and william edward ryan as a baby at the agw of 4 but that mean he was born in 1907 not 1906. but that is why "

The 1911 census was taken 2 April and he wasn't 5 years old until the 16th April.
