Cousin Eric H
« on: Saturday 24 June 17 06:01 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find my cousin Eric H who was supposed to be born in x, father David but known as George Hines, mother unknown,he supposedly married a Judy? in New South Wales, I think Sydney. Eric in the 1930s lived with my grandmother Mary Genge Stoker and John Edward Stoker in Kogarah, I cannot find either his correct date of birth, his mother's name or his wife's maiden name, I have looked at N.S.W. BDMs without any luck.
Any help appreciated.

NSW BDM online index is for birth registrations that occurred at least 100 years ago.   You have your person of interest as born 1919, so not yet 100 years of age.   Can you confirm that you already know he is deceased?   It is a No No to name living people or people we may suspect are still living at RChat.  You should modify your post to remove his name if you cannot confirm he is deceased.

Thank you Muss however this is not my Eric.

Majm,
I fully realise what you have said which I appreciate. However as he was born in x (x years ago) I doubt if he is now alive. He vanished from the family some 70 years ago never to be heard of by me again. Thank you for your help.

I'm assuming his parents were David George HINES and Margaret STOKER who married in Tamworth in 1918 (1447/1918)? They filed for a divorce in 1924:

(Added: quite a few other reports on Trove too, some of which mention that Margaret left her husband and went to live with her parents in Kogarah:

No mention of children, and as majm says birth registrations won't be indexed until 100 years have passed.

I think you should be careful as I know plenty of people over 98 years old!  ;)

Perhaps you will see here the death of a man whom you say is not your chap?

Thank you Muss however this is not my ****.

Despite the correct birth year?

Well, I think there is in this one. Relationship is not quite stated.
