Lancashire - Bickerstaffe -
« on: Saturday 24 June 17 19:15 BST (UK) »
Hi new to rootschat. Reseaching my family Bickerstaff(e) living in North Manchester, Miles Platting etc back to 1790. If anyone interested in the tree let me know its on Ancestory.co.uk. Actually my question is relatively modern I (Mark Bickerstaffe) was born in 1957. Address was Greycott Avenue, Manchester 9 (Blackley) its not on todays Google map I was hoping to figure out the location. I am not bad at finding addresses in older maps like 1900 and back but struggling with 1950's and 60's. Any thoughts much appreciated. Mark

Hello, my parents often spoke about a Bickerstaff family who lived near  them.
They were bon in 1896 and 1897 respectively and lived in the Miles Platting  area, mostly Apollo St.
Reather St. and Livesey St.  This is the bottom Of Oldham  Road.
I have a dim memory that the family were very musical.

Just thought this might be helpful to you.
