Eary Cushlin is indeed in patrick - above Lag-ny-keelly (look up names in www.manxnotebook.com) -
bring good walking boots + you will need a car to reach some places unless you enjoy walking
as Sophia Morrison put it in one of her stories (the child without a name) Eary Cushlin is a terribly lonely place ...
you can 'do' Patrick + Ronague by driving from Peel via Dalby and onto the Round table then take the Colby road coming down thru Ronnague
Richard didn't own any land - he tenanted 14 ac in 'Rhennag'  - see the 1841 tithe composition book held by Manx museum - also there is a plan of the holdings-
a neighbour in the same patch of ground was the Charles Radcliffe I mentioned earlier (he also owned a small intack) -
my own guess is that both describing themselves as fishermen were somehow related
any thing with a Manx Connection

there are no buses to Ronnag but you could walk from Eary on the rather infrequent 4C route -
suggest you look up on www.iombusandrail.info + pick up a timetable from the info centre in the sea terminal
- also buy a rover ticket + allow more time than you think for bus journeys - also buy a good map

If you are traveling to Eary Cushlin from Douglas, then I suggest you get the bus to Niarbyl Bay Cafe (Service 4) and walk from there? (Getting off on the main Dalby Road, before the bust goes to Niarbyl)

You can look at some parts of the island using Google. I think this is the location you want. It looks remote, the sort of location that you don't want to be walking around if there's a chance of rain:-
