Hi a couple of entries that could refer to him:-

Arnold SWINERTON aged 36 Arrival 1906 Country USA on Alien Arrivals at Canadian Atlantic & Pacific Seaports

Arnold Swinnerton aged 29 born Hanley Event Date 1899 Crew List on the Orotova from Liverpool.

Does not help much I'm afraid?!

Keyboard,
It all helps.
So the information I have is that Arnold went to Canada in 1903 a year after his discharge from the Army.
What you have found is that he was working as a crew member in 1899.
He arrived in 1906 was that as crew or passenger?

thanks,
bswinno.

This seems to contradict the fact that it was thought he had emigrated in 1903 to Canada.
It now loos like he sailed the Atlantic as crew.

A reply for the same from Canada.

There is a 1908 passenger list with a 35 year old Arnold Swinnerton. He is designated as a returning Canadian and has been in Canada for 6 years which approximates the previous entry. His destination is Montreal. Relatively unusual name.....same person?
