Not enough of a coincidence to prevent me ordering the certificates Roger.

Not sure how you got where you did but I'm most grateful.

Will come back when I get the results.

Thanks again.

The problem one is Henry Peckham Keen(1870) who has a mmn Hart.I wonder if this is an error in GRO records.

Not sure about that because i looked at marriages between Hart and Cox and found a hit for

Elijah Hart v Emma Cox Reg in Maldon Essex Mar 1847, year of birth of Our Emma Eliza Cox. Also notable in that all the census data for the family 1871,81 states her place of birth as Maldon, Essex.

Seems to be coming together.

As to how I got there...
I searched FreeBMD for all Henrys born 1870 Lambeth and saw the name Hery Peckham Keen, and remembered the Kean based family I found earlier.
In rechecking, there is also a Henry Peckham King record, same quarter/year/distrct.An(other) error?

Regards
Roger

Familysearch has this baptism:

Name    Henry Peckham-Keen
gender   Male
Wife    Emma Peckham-Keen
Child    Henry Charles Peckham-Keen
Other information in the record of Henry Charles Peckham-Keen
from England, Essex Parish Registers
Name    Henry Charles Peckham-Keen
Event Type    Christening
Event Date    05 Jun 1870
Event Place    , Heybridge, Essex, England
Father's Name    Henry Peckham-Keen
Mother's Name    Emma Peckham-Keen

Del,

Not sure if know about this website but might be worth a look, lots of Essex parishes covered and might be cheaper to buy a subscription than ordering lots of certificates.

I don't think there is any conflict, the record is ecclesiastical(christening/baptism) whereas the Lambeth record is civil(birth).

Agreed, the Essex records wouldn't forgo my need to have the birth records but any help was appreciated
