The Baltimore City Directory for 1958 has a MCCOMAS Robt W (Amanda F) h534 N Robinson.

An Amanda Frieda Zahn Wingate MCCOMAS born 24 December 1919 died 15 July 1974 has been located.

The US census for 1940 has the following family in Ward 7 Baltimore:
Karl ZAHN, 52 born Germany
Frieda Zahn 46 born Germany
Anthony Zahn, son 23 born Germany
John WINGATE son-in-law 20 born Maryland
Amanda Wingate daughter 20 born Germany
(*)Wingate grandson 0 born Maryland

Could Amanda Frieda Zahn Wingate MCCOMAS be the same person as the 1958 Amanda F MCCOMAS?

Fantastic news!  Many thanks for your assistance.  Interesting that her husband was not mentioned in the Obituary as he did not die until 1985.
