Elsie Truelove

I am trying to find out any history about my Grandmother Elsie Truelove who married Frank Goodaire, in Hull I believe. I think she died in the 1930's. One of her daughters was called Julia (my mother) I know quite a bit about my grandfather Frank, but nothing about Elsie

Hi,

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

Do you know Elsie's date of birth or where she was born please?

Hopefully your grandparents marriage cert would record Elsie's father's name.

One son and 4 daughters registered between 1920 and 1929 in Sculcoates.

Surnames on all spelt Goodare (no i.) If your mother was born in 1923 then it looks like Julia was her second name. (For the benefit of anyone trying to find her on FreeBMD!)

I do not have much information. My mother had sisters Rose, Elsie & I think she had another sister that died quite young. She also had two brothers I think Frank & Joel or a name similar. My grandfather married again & had two more children. To Giggsycat My grandmother was Elsie Truelove but became Elsie Goodaire when she married Frank
