One of my relations Llewellyn Patrick Robertson, the son of William & Tryphena Robertson was born 25th April 1890 in Colombo, Ceylon and baptised by V Eyffon on 9th May 1890. His father William was in 1st Battalion Gordon Highlanders. Does anyone know if catholic baptisms for churches in the area of Colombo are online anywhere? Also does anyone know of this priest/chaplain.
One last question: the family travelled back to the UK (to Aberdeen possibly ) between the baptismal date and the 1891 census. As there was no general movement of the Gordons till 1892 this may have been on an ordinary passage. Does anyone know if passenger lists of departures from Ceylon in 1890/91 are online either??
