Forgot to mention Welcome to Rootschat Cathie  :)

The census transcripts were on FindMyPast, maybe asking a mod to move to the Lanarks board may help.

I cannot locate either in 1881 census, and am not subscribed to Scotlandlands People.

Says Agnes died 1872

You can contact Lud the OP by private message if you wish, seems there's a family connection. Or add to the thread, seems they were online today.

Good luck  :)

This looks like Agnes's Baptism:
17/1/1813 Lesmahagow. Parents John Weir & Agness Martin (daughter had this as a middle name).

Iam sorry if I get a wee bit confused, iam doing this for my wife Cathie 79, I have been involved in genealogy for the past 20 years, but my old brain is not so good now, and I need a bit of help.

Nothing to be sorry about Ray, we all ask for help at some point, I know I have. Many Rootschatters love to help, genealogy our own or others is a hobbie most here are interested in or passionate about.

If not already would contact the other thread OP to see what info, and if seeking same family, seems you are.  http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=318211.0 have posted a link to this thread, so Lud will be notified of your interest in this family.

Greetings Cathie79 and Cas,
I created this post William Watson Leadhills many moons ago 2008, and since then have compiled a mass of information on the Watsons, any help you require Cathie, just ask.

Cheers

Hi Cathy 79,
William Watson died 2 June 1875 Castlehill Carluke, Agnes Weir died 26 Oct 1872 and is buried in the Public section at Cambusnethan, informant in both cases was son Thomas.
Janet Martin Watson  died 23 April 1856 age 20 from TB, and was buried in Carluke Churchyard
Hope this helps
