Hi if he was born December qtr 1891 Basford then his mothers maiden name was Aram, there is a marriage of a Samuel Straw to a Martha Aram Dec qtr 1890 Basford.

Hi again, I cannot locate any marriage, but possibly you are aware that he could have died September qtr 1916 Nottingham aged 24

If that is him and his death was registered in Nottingham, that means he died there, so not necessarily due to the war.

Hi,a few details which may help.  :)

The death of the Lawrence Straw which is mentioned in reply 3 by Keyboard was buried in Nottinghamshire 13 September 1916 ,it has details and 2 other burials which can be accessed from https://www.deceasedonline.com - it may give other information which could prove useful, if only to confirm if it is your Lawrence.

died 1915 but doesn’t give his age or any further details of his family
