It is available on F M P and is the register that was taken prior to WW2 to list all civilians for the issue of identity cards etc. It was used by the NHS after the war up until the 1990's.
If a woman who appeared on it married after it was taken the surname should have been amended. It gives names, dates of birth and occupations but it is not like a census as it does not give relationships or places of birth
