Which ferry company was it ?
Townsend Thoreson had a cross channel  service Zeebrugge /Dover and Ostend /Dover and of course  Calais/Dover. in the 1960`s.

What happened?
Were you  taken off the vessel on to another?
Did you arrive at your destination ?Go to hospital?
Were you interviewed ?
There must be records of such an incident. However you`ll need s date , and without the name(s)
of the vessels it will be hard.

I have googled shipping incidents involving oil tankers on that route in 1967 but nothing is showing...P&O operated cross channel ferries in the 1960s too. Maybe newspapers would be the obvious route as I'm sure it would have been reported. It may have been a French ferry company.

Hi Victoria, a freind has just confirmed that it was Townsend Thorenson Ferries.

The accident happened in fog and the damage was above the water line, nobody was taken off the ferry but some people had minor injuries . damage was done as the bow of the Tanker came in at the corner of the lounge area at the front.Vehs were damaged in the hold. We carried on to Dover at a slow speed in reverse and we were not allowed off the ferry until the insurance people had noted all the damages to the vehs on the car deck.

Thats all i know.   Many thanks Fangio

If it was 1967 it would not be under Townsend Thorensen's name as they did not take over until 68
