Denis MOCKLER born c1809 in Galway per RIC records

Denis Mockler died on 09 Jan 1888 in Old Kilmainham Dublin. He married Belinda Gardiner and they had 8 children: Maria, Patrick, Bridget, Charles Denis, Catherine, Thomas and Arthur James. If anyone has any clues about Denis Mocklers family of origin / birthplace etc they would be most appreciated.

His origin is listed just as 'Galway' on RIC service records - took a chance at posting on the off chance I might get a bit more to see if I can get further than what is on the records. I have details of his death etc it is origins I am trying to trace to see if I can get any further back.

Ideally you need his marriage to get his father's name and his religion to see which records to search if they still exist.
Same for his wife.

Any ideas where I might get the marriage details? Neither party is showing up on variety of searches on https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/ or http://www.findmypast.ie/

If they were RC
http://registers.nli.ie/ Ancestry has a free search by name that can narrow down years a bit

but I can't find them in the Applotment books but the transcriptions can be a bit dodgy
