marriage
« on: Saturday 29 July 17 12:52 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the maiden name of David Wades wife.David Wade was born in Ipswich 1865 and his wife Elizabeth born in Fairham Hampshire 1871.They had 6 children and they were all born in different parts of the country due to his job as a navvy.I can find the year of birth for all the children but in the bmd index it doesnt give the mothers name.I can't find the year of their marriage so i cant get a copy of their marriage certificate.

If you can find the births on the BMD index it should give mmn  on GRO web site

Are you using Freebmd or the GRO index which now gives mother's maiden names?

Sorry, posts crossed, Rosie

Just about to modify to say I didn't think it was the right marriage as she was born in Leeds.
