Thank you Buckhyne,

It was a long shot to be honest. Hand written notes from my older brother (now deceased) from talking with my granny (also now deceased) says my granny had 8 brothers. All her family (Blacks) are born around Almondbank & Bridgeton. She was born 1900. Three of the brothers born "pre-1900" Alexander, John & George all "died at birth, buried Methven". I am unsure if they would have been marked or un-marked graves or even if they were given a proper burial during these years.

Thank you anyway. I appreciate it. Regards, Michael

Remember, the MIs I have are pre-1855 so too early for your family.
I know there is a present-day wee MI booklet for Bankfoot cemetery.
It's possible there are Blacks in there.
Also perhaps there is a booklet on Methven burials which may have Blacks as well.
Lawrie name in Fife (and elsewhere) with all its various spellings.

Have you managed to locate the births, marriages & deaths on scotlandspeople site?

It may be worth trying to locate the family in 1911 for names & approx. birth years?

What were your g/mother's parents names & her mother's maiden name?

There are only 2 Black family names in 1 household on 1911 index for Methven Parish which would cover Almondbank;

Eric Osborne Black aged 19
James Alexander aged 18
