groom - that is correct about Sarah and I think Herbert was born Farnsfield in 1866.......they married in 1886, but where did they both die and were they living together ?....maybe we will never know ?....

Lynn - we know when and where Sarah died as far as it is possible to find out without you getting that death certificate.

If they did split up, Herbert could have gone anywhere and perhaps even changed his name. Unless anyone else can see it, I can't find a death of a Herbert Barratt that fits with a birth of 1866. The last sighting of Herbert born Farnsfield is in 1901.

Hi forgetting Herbert and possibly Sarah with son aged 18 in 1911 for the moment, where/what happened to the other children from 1901?

That's a good find Dawn. I can't find any sign of the rest of the family in 1911 which is odd, as the youngest would only be 14,12 and 10. The youngest two at least didn't die as I've found marriages.

carried on looking at that address in 1929 and 1931 but Herbert has acquired a middle name, William  :-\.

Libralady, have you got his birth cert?

Births Mar 1868
BARRATT    Herbert        Southwell    7b   275

Southwell district includes Farnsfield.

Can't see an obvious baptism
