Wilkins family bargemen and Lamberts/Page of Great Amwell
« on: Saturday 05 August 17 10:19 BST (UK) »
My 3rd great grandfather was William Wilkins born in 1806 to Mary Ann into a family of barge people at Ware/ Great Amwell. His wife was Ann Lambert descended from William Page 1743 of Great Amwell. I have been to Ware and Great Amwell and the churches, but I am interested in getting further back. Did they just come to live there to work on the barges or were they originally from there or a bit of both?

Tony

Yeah that's the one. I think Mary and Mary Ann are often used together as with the Wilkin/ Wilkins.
