Thank you for the information. I'm almost convinced that these are transcription errors of the name Fitchie are not related to my Scottish Filshie surnames. As you mention, I would need to look at the original documentation for confirmation. That's just a bit difficult with me living in Perth Australia ;D Thanks once again for taking the time to look at my query.

It is hoped that by the end of the year all the civil certificates will be available on Irish Genealogy site so you will be able to check the originals of the marriages, births and deaths  :)
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

How WONDERFUL that will be! I did look on that site some time ago and was successful in seeing the original of another surname I was researching. My heart leapt with joy!
