I have had a quick look and can only see a birthplace of Roscommon for Bridget in 1871  :-\
That is assuming I have the right Bridget.
Roscommon's boundaries changed twice in 19th century (1848 & 98). Each time Roscommon acquired a few bits of Mayo. In 1898 it also swapped some areas with Galway.
See  www.leitrim-roscommon.com transferred_towns.html
Leitrim-Roscommon Genealogy website has map resources for Co. Roscommon. Outline Boundaries of Catholic parishes, Civil parishes, Baronies and Poor Law Unions.
(I only discovered this yesterday, by way of of RC.)

It happens a lot - my friend's family still insist they are Mayo people even though the boundary changed in 1898  :)

I was hoping that Carol would confirm if I had the right one.

I have Bridget married to Michael Mullany - 1852 and in 1871 3276/70/16
Bridget Mulany shows County Roscommon. However it is only dittoed from her husband's so could be an error.

However, others in the family might have put their birthplace on later censuses - Carol may have already checked them.
