St Aiden's churchyard look up request- Robert & Elizer Maughan
« on: Friday 11 August 17 18:53 BST (UK) »
Hi Looking for information/images on the headstones of Robert Maughan died 8 Sept 1898 aged 78 and his wife Elizer (Elizabeth) Maughan died 19 Oct 1890 aged 69 both are buried at St Aiden's churchyard, west herrington.

I have asked for help on several websites without success and have been pointed in this direction, I am from down south so there is no way I can take a look for myself.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Looks like you can get a photo from there for a very small charge

Though its not an official LDS site, the site owner does appear to be a church member of the Sunderland Ward.

https://familysearch.org/wiki/en/Sunderland_England_Family_History_Centre  gives a postal address, telephone number and email address for the Sunderland LDS Family History Centre. An enquiry to them may result in someone being able to put you in touch with the website owner.

Really pleased you have what you wanted.

Just to check - was the hotmail email address on that page the one that was successful?
The info may be helpful to others who come across this thread whilst looking for info about the churchyard.

Yes the Hotmail email address found on this website http://www.sunderlandward.co.uk/cemeteryindex.html

Proved really useful I found a few members of my family so I enquired and received an email back telling me what was written on the headstones  ;D
