Farrants In devon prior to1800

there are a lot of Farrants in South Devon but I am looking for information backwards on Robert Farrant born 1773 died 1825 married Grace Gillard,
Had Five children Dorcus Farrant Born 1799 Married John Collins (one child known)
Solomon Farrant born 1806 Married Martha Batston (Nine Children)
Samuel Farrant married born 1808 Married Sarah Cox (Nine Children)
Mary Farrant Born 1812 died 1830 Spinster
Ann Farrant born 1816 died 1816

Hi I'm new around here.

But I have Robert Farrant born 1773, baptised Dec 1776 in Shute, buried 16 Jan 1825.

I'm descended from Solom[o/a]n Farrant (name varies according to transcription).

Obviously things get a bit tricky this far out, particularly with agricultural labourers, but I'm happy to share notes. I'm possibly back to the 1500s but I need to do a lot more work to make it stand up to scrutiny.
