Browne family of Mayo
« on: Tuesday 15 August 17 16:14 BST (UK) »
Is it possible that someone could look up an entry in the records office for Mayo if there is such a thing for an early entry.  I am trying to find a William Browne who died 25th March 1872 and was said to have been 70 I am hoping that there might be more info on the register also trying not to be greedy but any hope of finding a marriage for him circa 1840 to a lady called Honor ?   I had hoped that I could find her maiden name of the birth of their children but Bridget  circa 1840  John circa 1846 and Thomas circa 1847 but I cannot find anything that could help on line.  If there such info out there I would love to know how to find it.  Many thanks in advance, Joan D'Arcy

Ooops I just realised I never said where he lived it was in Carrowcally, Westport.

You have to order death Certs from 1872, €4 for a photocopy, but they will be online eventually for free.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp
The rest are too early for Civil Registration.

If you know which parish the parish registers are online free

Thank you I thought I had looked at the Irishgenealogy.ie for his death and was unable to find it but will look again once again thank you.  I am puzzled I have just looked again and found his death but there is no image so how did you know Honor was the informant and that he died at Cullenbeg?
