Hi, I am looking for a Hilda Elizabeth Florence Denness b1906 Portsmouth and Vera Edna Denness b1909 Portsmouth. Their name could be Dennis. I know that their parents were Florence Louisa Brown and George Robert Henry Denness.

When you say "looking for", what exactly are you wanting? And what have you already got?  HAve you found their births (freebmd), have you found them on 1911 census(sorry look ups not allowed), do you know if they married/ when they died, or is that what you are looking for?

Death, Sep qtr 1971 Havering: Vera Edna PARKER born 28 Feb 1909.

Plus a son, Derek - born 7 Feb 1935 Greenwich, died as Derek Denis Parker, Mar 2006 Kent.

(I think there was another son's birth registered in 1937, but he may still be living).

It looks to me as though the following may relate to this Robert (can't find Florence's death though):

20 May 1883: Robert Henry DENNESS (and twin George Frederick) born St Olave to John Thomas DENNESS (coffee house keeper) & Elizabeth Frances nee Adams, of 205 Bermondsey St. Both twins baptised at St John, Hoxton, as DENNES, on 17 June 1883. (George possibly died Jun qtr 1884 Shoreditch, aged 0, registered as George Frederick DENNESS).
 
Dec qtr 1921: Robert H DENNIS remarries to Maggie S M Clarke, St Olave
Dec qtr 1923: Son born - Robert S J DENNIS, mmn Clarke, St Olave
Jun qtr 1932: Maggie S M DENNIS dies aged 36, St Olave
Dec qtr 1934: Robert H DENNIS remarries to Sarah E Rouse, Bermondsey*
Sep qtr 1952: Robert H DENNIS dies aged 69, Bermondsey.

*This marriage registration is very close to Vera's marriage (adjacent page numbers).
