Could someone tell me if George Aylott married Eliza Prime at Edmonton in the March quarter of 1888 and if this is correct were they both widows.

It might be this couple at High Road, Enfield.

George is 58 and Eliza is 44. Are they the right ages?

Hi think he did as Frederick J Bacon 27 with wife Fanny and first born son 1889 in Gilbert Street, Enfield
Census ref RG12/1088/80/15

When was George Aylott born 1833 ish? Wondering if the PRYON lodgers are something to do with Eliza in 1891?

Thank you for your replies.

Just to explain George Aylott married Emma Wheeler 3/5/1858 Great Hormead Herts on the same day George's brother Alfred married Emma's sister Ellen.

By the 1881 census Rg11 1389 24 41 George and Emma are living in Edmonton then I believe Emma dies in 1884 age 49.

I then think I find George in the 1891 census Rg12 1087 104 14 age 55 with a wife named Eliza.

I think this is the correct George because his birthplace is Braughing and this is where George was born in 1836.

The only marriage that I can find between 1884 when Emma dies and the 1891 census that fits is if George Aylott married Eliza Prime.

I found a marriage 25/12/1877 St Andrews Church Enfield between Robert Prime 39 is a Blacksmith and Elizabeth Gates 34 widow there parents are Thomas Prime and David Sabin or Saban.

On the 1881 census Rg11 1394 79 33 Robert is 42 a Blacksmith and Eliza is 35.

Robert dies in the December 1/4 1885 age 45.

So Eliza's marriage to George Aylott is her third.
