Hi,

I'm searching for Mary Appleton of Harmondsworth and I'm very interested in her parents , Grandparents and siblings and when and where they were born.

Mary Appleton born 1760 in Harmondsworth  and christened on the 21st September 1760 in St Mary , Harmondsworth, Middlesex,  parents William Appleton and Mary maiden name ?

On familysearch is a Mary Appleton born 1760 In Harmondsworth with parents William and Mary . But with two different deaths, the First death for a Mary Appleton was on the 9 March 1874 in Sutton, Middlesex but that would mean that she was 114!!! The second death was on the 13 November 1841 in Richmond, New South Wales, Australia.

Yes It's her thank you  Do you know when and where she died ? I have two deaths for a Mary Appleton one in 1874 in Sutton but I don't think this is the right death because she was 114. And the other one is 1841 in Australia but I didn't know that she went abroad .

Yes she had a son called James born about 1793 in Harmondsworth, Middlesex but I don't know if he married a Susan . I think she could be the right one in Brentford thats makes her birth 1754 , Is there a birth for a Mary Appleton born 1754 Harmondsworth still with the parents William and Mary like the familysearch familytrees says?

Ignore online trees.  Many familysearch trees were done by members of the Mormon church so that they could baptise dead people, they are often wrong as are other online trees.  It is always best to do your own research.

Hi Jane.

I also descend from Mary née Appleton (b. 1760 Harmondsworth) The death date I have for her is 1842 in Lampton, MDX  but I cannot attest to it at this time. She married (23 Apr 1782 Saint Mary, Harmondsworth) James David Cooper (b 1755 - d.1832 Lampton)

Their son William Cooper (b.1791 Harmondsworth -d.1837 Sutton) married Ann Shortland (b. 1794 Lampton -d. 1874 Sutton). I have that their marriage was 20 Sep 1813 at Hanwell?

Their daughter Sarah Cooper (1816-1892) appears to have married her cousin Thomas Shortland (1809-1883) because, according to what I have, the grandparents of both this Thomas and the Ann Shortland who married William Cooper were a Thomas Shortland (1753-1838 Lampton) and Mary Dukes (1758-1846 Lampton) who married at Heston in 1779!

This information came from descendants researching the Shortland name a decade or so back.

According to information on the FamilySearch site (and I agree, it isn't always reliable but it can at least give you something to prove or disprove) the parents of Mary b. 1760 (and siblings William b1738, David b1746, Johnathan b1750, all b Harmondsworth) were William b.1717 (Harmondsworth) and Mary, very possibly married at  Saint Mary, Harmondsworth as well.
And that William's parents were Thomas and Elizabeth with possible siblings Thomas b1715, Joseph b 1719, and James b1723 (all Harmondsworth).
