Have you tried contacting the library in Llandeilo?  Carmarthenshire Records Office may also be of assistance to you.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
Remember - "They'll be found when they want to be found" !!!
If you don't ask the question, you won't get an answer.

Have you got any names and dates when they were there as this may help us find them? Do you have them in any census?

Don't think there is a Rose & Crown in Llandeilo town, but is one in Upper Brynamman which would have come under Llandeilo-Fawr RD Council.

I don't think we are looking for a publican here are we, as the censuses gives his occupation as shoemaker if I'm looking at the right one?  Manchester House looks as if it was a large house divided up with several families living there. It's in Carmarthen Street.

Rose and Crown is mentioned here  "Rose and Crown at Rhos-maen Street (last thatched roof Inn in town)"

http://www.llandeilo.org/good_old_days.html

It says that in 1858 Llandeilo was a little town of 290 houses; 11 streets; 73 shops; 23 public houses; 4 chapels; and a church.  That's almost 1 pub for every 10 houses. ;D
