After ancestry DNA - what?

My son's DNA from ancestry has revealed very little.

We tried putting the raw data  onto GEDmatch but so far it has only served to confuse me even further. Can anyone suggest a Very Simple way forward? I'm very old . . and I'd welcome any 'DNA for Dummies' type guidance - the reading matter on the site is way outside my comfort zone.
