there are not too many Kenneways in Glasgow.
My Gran is Jeanette Pearson nee Kenneway,
She has a large group of brothers sisters and half sisters.
There father
John Kenneway
B. 1893
-Harbour fireman-
Married Elizabeth Rob.. Craig
Who passed away after having 2 children
Rachel & Kathleen
He then Married a widow (my great gran)
Sarah Jane McCargo
Who had a daughter to her first marriage,
Sarah and John then had
John,
Massey(possibly Mary Jane), sally (Sarah Jane or Sarah Ann),
Agnes,
Alex(Alexander),
David,
Jeanette(my gran)
John passed away 1945
Just weeks before my gran was born.
There was a lot of upset in the family as Sarah Jane took cancer and my gran was sent to live with her half sister Rachel in England for a few years, Massey went into care system as she had a disability and the others couldn't manage to keep her my grans recollection is that her grandad John lived with them for a wile so this would have been well after his son died. He is as follows
John Kenneway
B.1873
Unbelievably
D.1972
His wife was Catharine Craig
I have found a census for there house hold in 1911 Patrick Glasgow
Catharine Kenneway 38years
John Kenneway 37years
David Kenneway 1years
Catherine Kenneway 3years
Thomas Kenneway 5years
Alexander Kenneway 8years
Agnes Kenneway 13years
John kenneway 18years
Ireland has been thrown into a conversation with my gran but she don't know if it's the Kenneway or mcCargo line
Any help or advice would be great iv done what I know on a tree on family echo but have still to add in the census info I found
Thanks
Stephen.
