Searching for George Wynne
« on: Friday 08 September 17 11:57 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find birthplace and wife of my 4x grandfather George Wynne.born around 1810,place unknown. His son William my 3x grandfather was born in 1834 in Oldcastle Heath Malpas but after that I am at a dead end. There was an unproven  story in the family that the Wynne's came from the Ruabon area originally.Any help to push my tree further back would be most welcome as I now live in Wales and would love to know if I do have Welsh roots.
Thankyou.

Is George widowed in 1851/1861 - guessing you don't even have a first name for his wife  :-\
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

I am trying to find birthplace and wife of my 4x grandfather George Wynne.born around 1810,
place unknown. (He died in Hatton Heath in 1863)

His son William my 3x grandfather was born in 1834 in Oldcastle Heath Malpas but after that I am at a dead end.

I can't seem to find George & William on the 1841 census  ???
What was his father's occupation?

Do you have George & William on the 1841 census? If so, could you give further details - thanks

I am trying to find birthplace and wife of my 4x grandfather George Wynne.born around 1810,place unknown.(He died in Hatton Heath in 1863)

Is this the death entry you are referring too for your George Wynne?

Hatton is in the registration district of Gt Boughton
and it spans the boundaries of the counties of Cheshire and Flintshire

Sep 1863 Gt Boughton 8a   223
WYNNE   George

GRO indexes now give mmn names and age at death - This George Wynne is aged 1

FreeBMD has this death for a George Wynne is 1862 Bridgewater and his age is 78

There is this christening record for a William Wynne but NO father named George  :-\

William Wynne Birth Place: Whitchurch Parish
Christening 30 Oct 1836 Malpas, Cheshire
mother Anne Wynne

Marriage Reg Whitchurch March 1858, William WYNN to Sarah GUEST

On that marriage entry, William's father is given as Edward Wynn a Tailor.

Do you have the marriage certificate of his son William Wynne naming his father as George?

If you do, what was George's occupation and who witnessed the marriage?

Do you have the 1863 death certificate for George Wynne?
Who was the informant?
