Hi Annie only this index death record
Alexander Gordon Brown birth date 12 September 1902
Died 15 March 1959 San Francisco

There is also this Naturalization record for  Alexander Gordon Brown but wrong birth date this one is 17 March 1902 Dumbarton ( soldier )age 18
Petition date 17 December 1920 San Antonio Texas

An Alexander G Brown appears on several crew lists which might be worth looking at also Merchant Navy Seaman records for a Alex Gordon Brown 1902 Dumbarton

As you said maybe the USA board would be of more help

Rosie that does look a definite as it's precise with birth date.

Yes, as you say USA board may find a whole lot more?

I couldn't find anything on TNA.
