Margaret McKail Brown died aged 57 in 1944 at Uphall, Broxburn, West Lothian.   [This is wrong; it is obviously someone else with the same name]

P.S.   In 1911, Margaret M Brown, 29, on census at Old Monkland (Western District).
Alexander G Brown, 8, also at Old Monkland (Western District)
...These were separate look-ups, but they both have the same census number 652/1 2/1 and so it looks like they are both together.     Western Monkland, may possibly mean the Shettleston, or Baillieston area.      This information was on the census preview, but you have to pay to open this census to see full details.

Not sure if this is the building of the time but this has Co. Buildings situ between MacLean Place & Church Street...

There's a 'Side by Side' option at the top of the page which shows how it has changed since then.

Sorry, struggling to find a 1960 death unless her middle name/initial has been omitted but this looks a possible?

Thanks Annie. She did die in 1962. I discovered that Alexander Gordon Brown may have died in San Francisco in 1959. Cant find out if its the same person though.  >:(

What do you know about Alexander G?

It would be worthwhile putting a query on the USA board with all relevant info. you have as there are good researchers who can help you.

If you know when/why he was in San Francisco, what his occ. was, if he was married who his wife & children were if he had any?

Include what you have already found which makes you believe it's him & provide a link or source to that info. If it's a family story include what was told to you as it saves people time & effort if they have a background picture.
